The Richard Petty Driving Experience allows you to take command of the wheel and experience the thrill first hand by selecting the type of driving program that is best suited to you.

The Rookie Experience (1 session), recommended for first time “racing” drivers puts you in the driver’s seat for 8 laps around the speedway in a 358 cubic inch V-8 NASCAR style racecar that roars with an impressive 600 horsepower. Prior to getting behind the wheel, students will go through two elements of safety and instruction training, in-car and on-track instruction. On completion of the exhilarating drive, students will receive a graduation packet that includes a time sheet with a breakdown of each lap driven so you can compare your racing skills with friends or family. The program runs approximately three hours, but can last up to half a day. Prices from $399.

The King’s Experience (2 sessions)allows you to be King of the Track and is advised for the more confident driver due to a slightly more skilled level of driving and increased speeds. The two power packed sessions consisting of 8 laps of rip roaring power and 10 laps of increased speed and mind-blowing excitement. Prior to driving, students will go through two elements of safety and instruction training, in-car and on-track instruction. Between driving sessions, drivers will receive one-one feedback from the Pit Road Instructor, as well as additional instruction from the on-track driving instructors. Once both sessions have been completed, drivers will receive a graduation packet that includes a time sheet with a breakdown of each lap driven. The program runs approximately four hours, but can last up to half a day Prices from $799.

The Experience of a Lifetime (3 sessions) consists of 30 laps of white-knuckled, heart pounding speed and is recommended for a more experienced driver with loads of stamina. Taming the speedway in 3 driving sessions allows you to improve your driving line, increase your speed and encourages the idea of a drastic career change! Prior to the driving experience, students will go through two elements of safety and instruction training, in-car and on-track instruction. Between the 3 driving sessions, students will receive one-one feedback from the Pit Road Instructor, as well as additional instruction from the on-track driving instructors. Once all 3 sessions have been completed, drivers will receive a graduation packet that includes a time sheet with a breakdown of each lap driven. The program runs approximately four hours, but can last up to half a day Prices from $1,249.

The Racing Experience (8 sessions) consists of a gruelling 80 laps over 8-segments and is recommended for driver who have already completed another of the other Richard Petty Driving Experience Driving programs. This super intense experience includes side-by-side tandem driving sessions, incremental increased speeds as you progress between sessions and finally, end off with a thrilling high-speed one-on-one finale, reaching within one second of the Ride-Along program. Between the 8 driving sessions of 10 laps each, drivers will receive feedback from the Pit Road Instructor, as well as additional instruction from the on-track driving instructors. The program may be run in either 1 full day or 1-1/2 days depending on the operational plan of the selected date and track.Prices from $2,499.

Should you not be able to, or simply don’t want to be behind the driver’s seat but still want to experience the exhilaration of real life racing then the Ride-Along program is ideal for you. You will sit shotgun in a 2-seat stock car driven by one of the professional instructors for a 3-lap NASCAR qualifying run and speeds will exceed 150 MPH.

Bear in mind that Ride-Alongs are only available on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations are not required or accepted so best you get to the track early to ensure a seat. Ride-Along participants are required to be at least 14 years old except Walt Disney World Speedway®, where the minimum age is set at 16 years. Participants under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
