Fun In The Sun At Clearwater Beach

Fun in the sun at Clearwater beach
browse (1 / 2)

Florida’s Beach is where you want to be on your next vacation! You will feel like you are hundreds of miles away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando. Clearwater, in St Petersburg, is an exquisite peninsula located on Florida’s West coast. The area is bordered by Tampa Bay to the east and the Gulf of Mexico the west.

Imagine warm Gulf sunsets, unique cultural heritage, fresh seafood, great shopping, family fun and endless sunshine...that’s what Clearwater is all about! There are an endless amount of activities in and around Clearwater to keep you and your family busy throughout your vacation. Opt for theme park thrills a short trip away or natural adventures within the diverse park system. Play on the water - or on the green, some of the best courses in America. Shop like a royal and dine amid boutiques and bistros, both fine and eclectic. Doesn’t this just sound like paradise?

Clearwater is home to Caladesi Beach, voted America’s number 2 beach in 2006, as well as Fort De Soto Park, voted America’s number 1 beach in 2005. Clearwater stretches over 35 miles of pristine white-sand beaches on some eight major barrier islands.

Summer and fall are very popular times to visit the beaches of St Pete but Florida is known as the sunshine state so pretty much all year round is beautiful.

The beautiful Clearwater Beach becomes more popular each year. Flocks of tourists to Florida buy vacations offering a combination of Orlando themeparks and Clearwater Beach. On their first visits these tourists stay mostly in Orlando but on return vacations opt to stay at the coast and rather day-trip to the theme parks which are only between 30 - 90 minutes drive away.

Most visitors to Clearwater Beach fly into the Tampa Bay airport, about 45 minutes drive from St. Pete. From there the best option is to rent a car but you can also make use of the Suncoast Beach Trolley, a bus travelling in and around the Clearwater Beach area throughout the day.

Tip: If you’re a wannabe Robinson Crusoe, go elsewhere as the Clearwater Beach region is densely populated.
