Join the astronomers at Crosby Observatory to enjoy a night of star gazing, filled with interesting facts and sightings, or come to the bring-your-own-telescope nights to enjoy watching the stars with your own telescope. View the stars at Orlando Science Center and discover other interesting facts about your universe. How does our body work? How does nature work? How big were dinosaurs and what did they look like? All these questions are important ones and at the Orlando Science Center, these questions and many more are also attempted to be answered. You will discover much about the world you live in and even your own body that you never knew previously. Exploring your natural surroundings has never before been this fun at the Orlando Science Center, where you can walk around and see the many exhibits on display. Among these is the Body Zone, where you are seated in a 3D digital theatre that provides you with unique glimpses inside the human body, including a tour around the circulatory system from the point of view of a red blood cell. Discover what happens to food when you consume it, re-construct a skeleton and find out some interesting facts about your body. Do you think you could be a superhuman or the next Anakin Skywalker? The 'Measure Me' feature lets you see if you are, as you discover your size, strength, flexibility, agility and sensory abilities, learning what makes you body unique. Discover how nature works in wonderful ways in Dr. Dare's Laboratory, where you can explore a huge exhibit on Florida's eco-systems. At Kid's Town, walk around in your own miniature town - built especially for kids. At Dino Diggings, see how dinosaurs really looked, what they ate, and who they fought. Walk around, looking at the Dinosaur fossils, replicas and eight complete dinosaur remains. Dinosaurs are displayed in the world that they originally inhabited, much different from the world we know today. Become part of a paleontological excavation site, where you can analyse dinosaur bones and other prehistoric land and sea animals. Take part in real science experiments; see life under an electron microscope or view the stars at the Orlando Science Center. SunWatch is offered the first Saturday of each month. This entails safely gazing upon the closest star to earth, the Sun. The astronomers at OSC take aim at the sun to reveal the secrets hidden behind its blinding glare. You can take a look at the Sun’s surface to determine what kind of day it’s having. Occasionally the surface is placid and serene but more often than not, it is boiling with solar flares and sunspots. SkyWatch occurs on Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm to 9pm. You will join the astronomers in the Crosby Observatory for a night filled with magic and wonder. You’ll be treated to views of celestial objects while taking in the glittering Orlando skyline. The telescopes will expand your horizons to faraway places like Jupiter, Mars, Venus and beyond. This programme is a must-do! Adopt-A-Star is a package designed for you to be able to literally Adopt-A-Star in support of the OSC astronomy programs. OSC adoptions make very unique gifts, fun class projects and wonderful family activities. Adoption packets include personalized certificates, educational material and more. Adopt-a-Star options range from $50, $75, and $100.Bear in mind that the Crosby Observatory is even available for private star gazing parties. This is truly an amazing location to host an event. The Orlando Science Centre offers plenty of other exciting and educational exhibitions that will thrill and entertain children and adults alike. It would also be in your interest to check out the Cinedome film, the world's largest Iwerks domed theater and Digistar II planetarium, with 28,000 watts of digital sound.
